Strasburg hurt…..already

Stephen Strasburg has already inched his way closer to becoming Mark Prior part II, as he was scratched from tonight’s game.  The Nats manager says it was precautionary, and the MRI revealed no structural damage but some inflammation.  If the Nationals are smart, they shut him down for a little while with a DL stint, and then hire Dusty Baker to be their manager next season.

Who will draft Stephen Strasburg?

Strasburg will without a doubt be the hottest commodity to ever come out of college baseball.  There have been some rumblings that the Nationals, who have the first pick in this year’s draft, won’t be able to afford the $50 million price tag Boras is going to put on the young pitcher.  There have also been some articles saying that some teams are willing to part with all of their draft picks to be able to have that top pick so they can take Strasburg.  Let me go ahead and kill that rumor, because you aren’t allowed to trade draft picks according to MLB rules.

All of this blabbering was to get to this article, in which former Nationals GM lets everyone know if the Nats will take Strasburg or not.
